STILLWATER, Okla. - Oklahoma State football hosted its annual Pro Day Thursday, with 17 players from last year's team putting their skills on display in front of personnel from all 32 NFL teams inside the weight room at Boone Pickens Stadium and on the field at the Sherman E. Smith Training Center.

NFL Combine participants Chris Carson, Vincent Taylor and Ashton Lampkin all participated in the event, as well as linebacker Devante Averette, linebacker Jordan Burton, running back Rennie Childs, kicker Ben Grogan, tight end Blake Jarwin, defensive tackle Motekiai Maile, fullback Keegan Metcalf, safety Derrick Moncrief, cornerback Lenzy Pipkins, offensive lineman Victor Salako, wide receiver Jhajuan Seales, safety Jordan Sterns, tight end Zac Veatch and offensive lineman Michael Wilson.

Several former Cowboys put up some impressive numbers on the day, including a 130-inch broad jump from Burton, a 41.5-inch vertical jump from Seales, 27 reps on the 225-pound bench press from Maile and a 4.42-second 40-time from Pipkins, to name a few of the day's bests.

Burton's broad jump, which would have ranked as the best among all linebackers at the 2017 NFL Combine by two inches, was not his only outstanding mark. His vertical jump of 40 inches would have also been a best among linebackers at the combine by 2.5 inches and his 11.65 60-meter shuttle time would have been fourth.

Carson, who used his numbers from the NFL Combine for several tests, improved his vertical jump to 39 inches, which would have placed him second among the running backs at the earlier event. His 20-yard shuttle time of 4.29 seconds was also the fastest of the day among the former Cowboys.

"I felt pretty good," Carson said. "It was good to see everyone out there because I haven't seen them in a couple of months, so to go out and play ball with them again felt good."

There were several other marks that would have been the best among those at their position at this year's combine, including Seales' vertical that would have been second, and a 121-inch broad jump and 21 bench press reps from Jarwin which both would have been seventh.

In addition to the testing portion of the day, several athletes impressed in position work on the field, including Taylor, Sterns and others.

"It felt really good to be back out here with my teammates and I felt like I did really good," Taylor said. "Just coming back out here on the turf where I played college football really helped me feel more comfortable. Just with the way I was moving out there, I felt really fit and like I had a good day."

Sterns also appreciated the chance to work out in front of every NFL team, despite not being a part of the 2017 combine.

"I felt great," Sterns said. "I just took a lot of time to learn some more about myself. When that adversity came, I learned a lot about myself because I felt like I was going to be there. It means a lot to still get the chance to prove myself. When I didn't get the invite, I said, 'Well, I've still got Pro Day.' I know we have a bunch of talent so I knew there were going to be a bunch of scouts here to see what I can do."

The 2017 NFL Draft is scheduled for April 27-29 in Philadelphia, Penn.
