What a week it has been for the Oklahoma State class of 2018. With two new verbals earlier in the week, the Cowboys have now added an in-stater to the list. Sulphur's Jacob Farrell announced his decision on Twitter on Thursday night.
In addition to being the 17th member of OSU's 2018 recruiting class, Farrell's commitment also cements a major upward swing in the Cowboys offensive line recruiting efforts. Credit that to first year (back) o-line coach Josh Henson, who is getting targets he wants, both in and out of Oklahoma.
The massive (6-7, 285) Farrell picked OSU over offers from TCU, Texas Tech, Kansas, Tulsa, Utah State and others. He's in the conversation when talking about the top OL prospects in the state, along with Oklahoma commit Brey Walker and fellow OSU verbal Bryce Bray. He's currently ranked 9th in the overall state rankings.
As has become routine, Mike Gundy tweeted out his coded confirmation of the new commit.
