Moore gives Oklahoma State a boost

In-stater Tramonda Moore's recruitment came down to a Bedlam battle and Moore opted to go with Oklahoma State.

The commitment caps a long recruitment of Moore for OSU assistant Greg Adkins. Moore is the seventh offensive lineman in the Cowboys 2016 class. With his four-star ranking, Moore represents a boost to the Cowboys' class ranking. He is the only four-star and nationally-ranked recruit expected to sign with OSU on Wednesday.

Moore's difficulty in reaching qualifier status is well-documented and there is a very high likelihood he will also sign with a junior college on Wednesday. OSU will certainly have some input on what school that will be with. Our best guess right now would be Northeastern Oklahoma A&M.

Analysis: Moore had been a lean to Oklahoma for some time, right up to his official visit in Stillwater on January 15th. Things seemed to swing somewhat in OSU's favor from then on. Moore's ability to qualify and the numbers game on OU's end may have been a deciding factor. Meanwhile, OSU was not butting up against the 28-man maximum of signees and thus there was no harm in taking a likely sign-and-place prospect. When it's a player of Moore's caliber, that's a no-brainer.
