What we're watching at the adidas Invitational

The July evaluation period kicks off with one of the better event of the summer in the adidas Invitational. The top adidas teams will battle in Indianapolis for a championship, and we will be closely watching high profile players such as Andrew Harrison.

1. The Harrison twins

Andrew along with his twin brother Aaron Harrison control the backcourt for a talented Houston Defenders squad. Shaquille Cleare and Derrick Griffin are also big-time talents on the team, but the Harrison twins are among the elite prospects in the 2013 class. The adidas Invitational will be an important platform for determining exactly where the twins should be ranked amongst 2013's elite.

2. Poole at the point

Solomon Poole is another top talent out of the 2013 class who will lace them up with the Atlanta Celtics. Known for his powerful athleticism at the point guard position, Poole's ability to run a team and manage a game will be scrutinized in Indy.

3. Another move for Dekker?

Wisconsin commitment Sam Dekker made a big splash with his play at the NBPA Top 100 Camp. The savvy 6-foot-7 wing has moved up into the top 40 in the most recent Rivals150. A big question going into the adidas Invitation is whether or not Dekker should be ranked even higher.

4. Tarczewski to compete

Kaleb Tarczewski was one notable prospect who wasn't at the NBPA Top 100. The five-star big man will be in Indianapolis, however. Rivals.com will get a good look at Tarczewski as he matches up against some of the other top big men in the country.

5. Drummond's dominance

One of Tarczewski's main competitors, Andre Drummond will be in action at the adidas Invitational with the Connecticut Basketball Club. Drummond is currently lurking right behind Shabazz Muhammad as the No. 2 ranked prospect in the Rivals150. Coming off an up and down June where he was great at the Pangos All-American Camp but not nearly effective at the NBPA, Drummond is looking to establish himself as the top prospect in the country during July.
