Chaparral has Skills

Temecula (Calif.) Chaparral was a touchdown away from beating the D-1 CIF State Champions in 2008.

In fact, the Pumas only two loses of the year came to Corona Centennial. This year, the upstart Pumas will close the talent gap on Centennial, which may bring Chaparral one step closer to winning a state title.

"We've got a lot of receivers that all deserve the ball," said quarterback Mitch Glassmann. "I have to spread it around and get in their hands. But nobody on our team as an ego.

"Losing in the championship, the attitude among this year's team is all about the ring. Guys just don't care about the stats."
