I hope he produces quickly, as he will be drawing Social Security before long. Boomer Sooner!

I just hope he doesn't do something truly embarrassing like retire from the NFL without playing a single down.

About 11 a.m. Monday, they had a NFL recruiting guru review HIS top draft picks (4 to 5 at each position),,,At qb he had Weeden the #1 wr (and #12 to 18th to be taken...overall). He said K City , or Browns were the most obvious. Also said a lot of the NFL talent evaluators were low playing Weeden and not saying much hoping to move him down in the draft so he'd be much cheaper. This guy said one of the teams will get to nervous and thus pull the trigger and take Weeden as the 12th,13th or 14th pick. He thought Weeden would do great in a system that has a great L OT and a pretty darn good/veteran O line. NO movement..also said he has to learn to play about 1/3 of the time under center...WHY???

second round

Not sure I get Cleveland's first pick. They give up 2 or 3 picks in later rounds to move up 1 spot and select a player they would have likely gotten anyway if they didn't move at all? And along those lines, if they had the intention of getting Weeden with their 2nd pick in the 1st round, why not just go ahead and get Blackmon instead of Richardson, then pick up a quality back in the 2nd round? Oh well, I'm still happy for them both.

I think Weeden & Blackmon will be great in the NFL. I'm happy for both of these fine players. Weeden will do well under center but any like NFL QB, if he doesn't have protection bad things will occur. Blackmon is just electric. Congrats to the Cowboys, I'm sure all of you are proud.

Mid 2nd to early 3rd, it is a shame but the kids age is going to hurt him. I hope it works out for him, I think he is a class guy.

The Chiefs would be great. Basically I'd like to see him go anywhere but Cleveland or some team that needs help almost everywhere.

But my prediction is Cleveland at the beginning of the 2nd round.

He needs to go somewhere that has a somewhat decent offensive line. He's not mobile and, at his age especially, don't want him taking a beating like Stafford or Gabbert did their first years. If he goes to a team that will give him a fighting chance to stand in the pocket and toss it to a couple decent receivers he'll be alright. He's a natural leader and a gamer, but he's not going to bring a team back from the depths. Not many rookie QB's can.

Going to a team like KC that has a pretty decent defense (top 15 or so if I remember right) would really help him and maybe give him a couple extra chances a game. Rookie QB's that are coupled with trash defenses (see Stafford for quick example) are prime recipe for a 10/20 TD/INT first season in the league. He'll find success wherever he goes because that's the type of person he is, but if thrown into the right circumstance and with a little bit of luck, Weeden could find some W's very early in his career.

Early 2nd round is likely because of his age. He will be a steal there. I hope he goes somewhere without a reck solid #1 QB. If he does, he could really push for the starting position or be the most popular player on the team....the 2d string QB during a QB controversy.

I am not here to flame or start anything other than a disussion about Weeden getting drafted. I really hope that the Chiefs pick him up, and I think the is a great "risk" to take in the 2nd or 3rd round. I figured some die-hard OSU fans might have heard somethings about his prospects. Thoughts?
