Visit weekend preview: Small, but important

The official visit weekend for Oklahoma State is a small one, but very important.

The only known official visitor for the Cowboys is the nation's number one wide receiver, Laquon Treadwell. The visit is a long time coming, as the relationship dates back over a year, but the five-star prospect still hasn't been on campus.

That changes this weekend. In an interview this week, Treadwell told Rivals.com's Josh Helmholdt that his mother would be accompanying him on the trip to Stillwater. That has long been believed a key factor in OSU's chances. Additionally, we have heard that Treadwell's uncle Ricky Young will also be along for the visit. That's worth noting, as Young played his college football at - you guessed it - Oklahoma State.

Even with those positive factors on their side, the Cowboys do have ground to make up on Ole Miss. Treadwell is set to announce his college destination on Thursday, and the Rebels are clearly the team to beat at this time.
