Star Back Leading Big Year at Broken Arrow
In spite of a massive start to his junior season Broken Arrow, Okla. star running back Cameron Wrenn has seen little noise in his recruitment, or at least hasn't been a hot topic for many. It seems the 5-foot-10, 180-pound prospect who lit up Owasso to the tune of 309-yards and five touchdowns on 30-carries in the Tigers season opener.
After a dominating 65-6 dismissal of Putnam City West Wrenn headed down the Turner Turnpike to catch the Sooners 38-28 win over Missouri. The skilled runner admits to growing up a Sooner fan and caught a few games in the 2010 season but says this one was a bit different for him.
"It was pretty fun, that was my first one this year, last year I went to one or two games," Wrenn recalled. "I went down there as a recruit (this time). They sent me tickets and I got to get on the floor and talk to a few players.
"I didn't even get a chance to talk to coach (Cale) Gundy. Coach Gundy has sent me a lot of mail, Oklahoma has been sending me a lot of stuff and Arkansas has too."
